Program graduates are eligible to apply for the national certification examination for surgical technology and surgical assisting through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Upon graduation, students receive the Bachelor of Science in Surgical Technology/Surgical Assisting (BSST) degree. This three consecutive year program is one of the first bachelor’s degree programs in the country to combine surgical technology, first assistant and office practice training, which goes beyond traditional surgical technology programs.
